Sage Financials: what now?

Sage Financials: what now?

The news that Sage are no longer selling Financials will come as a blow to many users who have invested heavily in both consultancy costs and the time to learn a new system.

Though Intacct may be a great product it can never offer the ease of integration with Salesforce that attracted so many users to Financials. And do you really want to go through the pain and expense of migrating your accounting system again?

So what options do you have? Sage say they will continue to support the product but many users are dependant on their partners for a prompt and personal service. The reality is that for Sage Partners the bulk of income comes from new installations, so it may not make business sense to continue to offer support for Sage Financials.

At Alpha Index, our customers know they can rely on us, and through Sage Financials Knowhow will be offering a range of support options now and into the future.
We all need time to digest the implications, but remember there are many ways that Salesforce Partners, like Alpha Index, can extend and improve the core Sage Financials product.

  • So whats the latest opinion on Sage Financials? We are half way with our group implementation.. Do we carry on.. or should we stop and reconsider. Entities in USA, Spain, UK, RSA.

  • If we just recently started with the setup & implementation of Sage Financials… Should we reconsider continuing? What is the alternative if you have a business in USA, Spain, South Africa with those respective legislations and languages?

    Any thoughts?
